Whitening
The Norwalk Dental Center offers a whitening
procedure that is safe, sure, easy and affordable. This is a process
that can be done in your own home removes stains, discoloration
left by food, smoking, soft drinks and red wine that can be done
in your own home.
After a routing pre-treatment
examination we will take an impression of your teeth and from
that impression we will make a model. Using the model, we will
fabricate a custom fitted whitening tray from a soft, comfortable
plastic.
The product used to whiten
your teeth is carbamide peroxide and it comes in a clear, lightly
flavored gel. The gel is placed in the soft plastic whitening
tray that fits comfortably over your teeth. Once the gel comes
in contact with your teeth it begins to release the carbamide
peroxide and the peroxide in turn gently removes the stains and
discoloration.
It takes two weeks to whiten
your teeth. If you teeth are badly stained, or if the stains are
caused by antibiotics, it will take longer.
